Biography
Service Built on Responsibility
Wes Holt is a lifelong Northeast Arkansas resident, United States Marine Corps veteran, law enforcement leader, business owner, instructor, and community advocate.
He has served in law enforcement in Mississippi County, Osceola, and Harrisburg, where he currently serves as Lieutenant with the Harrisburg Police Department.
Wes is a Crisis Intervention Team instructor, law enforcement instructor, state supervisor for 988, Executive Director of We Are The 22, and a board member for the Arkansas Crisis Center.
Public Safety
Wes believes public safety is bigger than arrests and enforcement. Stronger communities come from prevention, communication, and trust.
Fair Enforcement
The law should be applied fairly, constitutionally, and consistently. The Sheriff’s Office should serve people, not parties.
Community Partnership
Wes values listening, coalition work, crisis intervention, public education, and practical reform that strengthens communities.

Wes believes leadership is not domination. It is responsibility. His core belief is simple:
“I am not in charge of you. I am responsible for you.”
That means building systems where good people can succeed, taking responsibility when systems fail, developing future leaders, and leading with firmness, fairness, and impartiality.

Wes is running as an independent because he believes party politics has no place in law enforcement or jail administration.
